If at the end of a tenancy a deal goes ‘periodic’ without any change to the details of the tenancy tick the periodic checkbox on the deal screen.
If any of the tenancy details change or if you wish to charge a renewal fee to the landlord you are advised to ‘renew’ the deal in Rentman instead. If there are guarantors on a tenancy you are advised to renew and also issue new agreements (see below).
Click the Send Documents button on the tenancy screen.
. From here you can choose to print a new agreement (always the most secure option) or issue Section 6 or 13 notices.
By default rentman will prevent you ticking the periodic checkbox on the deal screen when there are guarantors on the deal. Our legal advice tells us that a Guarantor's obligations end at the full term of the original agreement and will not be extended by section 6 or section 13 notices…. ... but there is an option on the Company Preferences screen if you have your own legal advice and want to allow it.
